Who We Are

Gwenright Nutrition was set up by Gwen Bastian-Enright, DipNT, MSc, mNTOI. Gwen has a Masters in Food Science, Technology and Nutrition from DIT, a Dietary Counselling certificate, and a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy, both from IHS in Dublin. Gwen worked as a laboratory technician for 8 years and has been teaching for a number of years.
Gwen sees clients on a 1:1 basis, primarily via Zoom (from West Cork), but is available for online group courses, corporate talks, school AGMs etc.
Gwen regularly attends training days and webinars and talks to stay up to date in the field of Nutritional Therapy, and is registered with the NTOI (Nutritional Therapists of Ireland), and gets to learn from Nutritional Speakers, such as Patrick Halford (see photo), Marilyn Glenville and Alessandro Ferretti. Her special interests are women's and babies' health and nutrition, with a focus on hormones and immune function.
Why Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is based on Functional Medicine, which looks at the body as a whole. It is based on the belief that all bodily systems are linked, and that imbalances in one will affect others. Rather than diagnosis, it looks at prevention of disease by balancing any imbalances found, through food, lifestyle changes and supplements.
